SIO Law Group offers customized support for all types of litigation management needs.

The 2006 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and most state rules of civil procedure provide for the maintenance and discovery of electronically stored information (ESI). As prelude to litigation, parties must evaluate their case in terms of ESI sources and anticipated discovery costs. Federal Rule 26(f) requires opposing counsel to discuss their litigation needs and strategies in terms of ESI. SIO Law Group provides experienced and insightful early ESI case assessment for all types of litigation. Whether used as part of a larger risk management program or simply Rule 26 preparation, SIO Law Group brings an understanding of ESI and the demands that the FRCP amendments bring to litigation. E-discovery has become a litigation game-changer. The detection, oversight, and costs of e-discovery must be considered when evaluating litigation. E-discovery also brings risks. Needless disclosure or wrongful destruction of ESI, in addition to altering the merits of a case, can trigger five-, six-, or seven-figure discovery mistakes. E-discovery is rapidly evolving. Teams of review lawyers have given way to predictive coding. Clustering has become routine in ESI collection and processing. Recognizing the specialization required, SIO Law Group and its e-discovery team can provide effective and efficient e-discovery support for in-place counsel, general counsel, and complex litigation teams in all phases of litigation.
